What to Expect from Our Funeral Care
Firstly, we will ask for some personal details of the person who has died.
- We will ask for some personal details of the next of kin.
- We will need to know where you would like the deceased to rest before the funeral. This can either be at our funeral home or your home if it is practical and appropriate to do so.
- If you choose anywhere other than our funeral home, we recommend that you allow us to bring the deceased into our care and then return them once all the necessary preparation has been made.
We will also arrange a suitable time to meet with you, either at one of our 27 funeral homes, located across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Mansfield, or at your home.
Alternatively, if you prefer, one of our funeral directors can meet you somewhere else such as a friend’s house or a solicitor’s office.
When you meet your A.W. Lymn funeral director, they will be able to advise you on what to do next, take care of all the necessary funeral arrangements and explain, in detail, the procedure for registering the death.
When death takes place some distance away from home, either within the UK or abroad, we can make all the necessary arrangements. Our funeral directors will provide help and advice and can assist with arranging repatriation to and from anywhere in the world.
